i just bought a 2 link from ekstensive, they gave me a panhard bar but i dont know wich way 2 put it in correctly.can someone tell me how to put it in were there is no axle movement

there will always be axle movement with a panhard...only way u can keep it to a minimum is to have a longer panhard bar

for the most effective/stable panhard setup, set the panhard perpendicular from the 2link bars. how you would set up the arc when layed out, ride height, etc. will be up to you...in my case when i had it on my mazda, there really is hardly any space between tires and fender in the rear and i did not get that much lift, so i just set it where the panhard was almost horizontal wshen it was layed out, it pulled the axle to the left about quarter inch when i was at ride height. my panhard was 36inches long with heim joints

the more straight the bar is the better, but i run mine from the middle of the passenger side link bar to the axle on the other side. here si a diagram.

For it to ride the best it chould be parallel to the ground at ride height. This put's it in the center of the Arc it travels in. THe Ekstensive kits usually call for the ride height oto be set at 3 or 4 inches below the notch ( if you got the whole kit, notches, links ,panhard, etc..)

IF YOU GOT THE KIT IT HAS TABS FOR THAT.IF NOT THE PANHARD BAR SHOULD BE LEVEL WITH THE AXLE AT RIDE HEIGHT.WHICH IT SHOULD BE 3" BUY EKSTENSIVE RULES,AND WHEN IT IS LAYED OUT THE CENTERS OF THE MOUNTING BOLTS FOR THE PANHARD SHOULD BE THE SAME AS THE RIDE HIEGHT.LOOKING FROM BEHIND YOU SEE THE BOLTS DRAW A IMAGINARY LINE ACROSS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT.THAT LINE IS THE CENTER OF THE BOTTOM BOLT DRAW ANOTHER LINE FOR THE TOP BOLT. INBETWEEN THE TWO LINES SHOULD BE 3" WHEN LAYED OUT.

rail it, thats not a diagram or description of a panhard bar, thats a diagonal link bar. different but they do the same job basically.

each has its pros and cons.

Cody you did a great job. He didnt get our notch. Patrick set the frame mount as close to the bottom as possible and make sure that what ever notch you have is welded to the bottom of the frame also. Then bottom you axle into the notch and the bolt for the panhard bar on the frame should measure 3in lower then the one on the axle. That way when you lift up it pushes the rear end 3/4of a in over at ride height. And if you lift ur truck higher to ride it will pull it back center.
