nahhh see the way mine are. i donno if urs are the same. but theres a bigger hole then a lil smaller one so u put the clip in the bigger one and slid it to lock intot the samll hole. once u put it in the door it wont be able to come out. im jsu going to copy the new panal exactly as the factory one. but i odnt know how much thicker the new panel will be so maybe i cant copy it exactly the same way to make the clips work??

Well, on mine the clips were kind of a one time thing. They destroyed themselves coming out. However I have an 80, and the design could have been changed...

i jus picked up a 4ft x 8ft piece of panel board from lowes its white on one side and brown on the other its 1/8 inch thick jsu liek the stock panel but much stronger its not as flexible so it should hole a pair of speakers or whatever. i tore my stock panels apart and jus used the old one as a template. now i gotta cut them out. ill post up pics soon as i get them cut out.

My friend has a 98 taco. He made his himself too. His name is L T on here. Hes a master of interiors, hit him up and he can probably help you if you need any more than what has already been said.
