I modified my stock arms to lay on 20's
and no you don't have to raise the balljoints on an s-10, you simply cut the humps off the lower arm and plate it, and angle the upper balljoint in about 13 degrees and reweld the arm at the new angle
then you just trim down your bag cups and notch for the tierods and notch the lower arm mounts
don't forget to tub the firewall, and raise the wiring harness, and rebuild your blower box to clear your tires
it's a weekend job if you have some good welding skills and some sheetmetal and 1/8" plate laying around
