Best way to do tubs?

I should be tubbing my truck and putting my notch cover in this weekend and I have a couple questions. What is the best way to go about putting them in? Should they be completely spot welded in as if you were doing regular shave/body work. Or, do u spot them in every few inches then use a type of panel adhesive or something to fill in the rest? Any info and/or pics would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the February 2006 issue of Mini Truckin', they have a tech article about tubs that they did on my truck.

Seam sealer , you can get it from any auto paint supply.
