i have a trunk, do i port the box or seal box and how you know where to put the port and what size you use.

seal it and add a ton of power like a kicker 1200.1 @ 1 ohm....
vented box will do nothing for you in a trunk not enough air space..

sealed will sound great in a car

you could go ported or sealed with that sub and get good SQ and output, but if you have never built a ported box, I would recomend you stick with the sealed. I think with the right power though, you will be happy.

yes, i agree,,,i have one myself...but not in the trunk of a car...there is no damn air space...its like puttin in behind a seat of a pickup....why? i have worked with car audio for bout 5 years now installin sellin whatever....im pretty confident with this...

what is a very good box for the back of an extended cab truck? i can't get mine to sound good at all... i have enough power just not a good box

still prlly want to do sealed build it out of 3/4 hd partical board...you could also prlly do a vented box in there as long as you didnt go to big

use 3/4 MDF wood it's better
