I have a 91 mazda with a 2 inch body drop, i just put on my new 20's with a +42 offset, 8.5 wide with a 225/30/20 tire, front is fine but the back just when i go down just slightly rubs on the box, just enough to stop it from goin all the way down, i have a 4x4 box, just wondering what would be the best way to fix this. Flare the bed sides abit (how would i go about doing this , toyota rearend, machine the back of the wheel abit,

Thanks everyone

i remember back a couple years ago where there was an article in MT on doing this on a mazda. they cut the supports and put a block of wood against the back of the skin of the flare and used a scissor jack. then added metal to the supports and welded them back together. when i get time i'll look for it and let you know what year and month it was, unless someone on here knows offhand so i don't have to blow the dust off the rubbermaid full of mags.

Yah it works with 18s which you have . With 20s you have to widen it above the bodyline not like with your 18s . I have the same 20s and offset had to cut a slit across the top of the bedrail and pull it out about 1/2" to 3/4" and fill in the gap with new metal .

narrow the rear end!

i'd narrow it, mazdas are straight along the side of the body, would look wierd with too much of a flare on just the bed

i only need to go a bit, i have a 30 series tire so, with only a 2 inch bd, my tire dosen't make it to the tope body like so i should be fine just flaring the bedsides abit, i don't have to far to go.
