Tell me if I'm out of line here...

OK, I've been browsing for a full-size truck to buy. Nothing exceptional, just a daily driver. I found a 1989 chevy FS that had a little work done to it. Here's the rundown:1989 Chevy V8 Auto (KBB Value $1600)Interior is shot. Has ripped saturn seats. Homemade dash sorta wrapped with vinyl and stock gauge cluster stuffed into an oblong hole. No headliner. Exterior has escalade clip w/pearl white paint. Ripped out rollpan from dragging. Incomplete bed floor(not just the notch area). Mismatch engine bay color. It does have 20" cast wheels (no billet) and an owner done bag job.

I offered $4000 for this truck (remember, clean and stock it's worth $1600). Am I out of line w/ this price? The owner seems to think $9k is a good deal. I just don't see it. Opinions?

you're not out of line at all.. its oklahoma man, people thing their shit trucks are gold mines. there is a 79 fullsize blazer here, hacked to shit, wired ghetto, lowered ghetto, he wants 9500 b/c its a '2wd blazer'.. get a truck trader and find something else. the 89 and up fullsizes are a dime a dozen here.
