I have a 01 F150 S Crew, it is two linked, and the axle is shfting to the left. The work was done by Fresh Rydes and I am not talking shit or anything, just giving details. There is not really a panhard, unless you count the bar running from one side of the axle to the other, but nothing to the frame. I am wanting to know if anyone has had the same thing happen, or if the rearends on that truck are offest a bit to the left to begin with. I plan to add a true panhard, or watts link, but I wanted to know if anyone else had this issue.

Oh, also has anyone had an axle shortened on this truck, or swapped one? I ask because I am thinking of doing it becasue my wheels are a bit wide, and rub the inside of the bed when it is laid out. Thanks in advance.

well the way you put it, if theres no pan hard or watts link in there as of right now, i don't understand how your truck even drove correctly. with out a panhard, links, or watts link, theres nothing holding the rear end from moving side to side. i suggest you set up a watts link, or run a triangulated 4 link and maybe that will solve your problem. oh and i have a friend whos got an f150 4 link (parallel with all forward bars, and a panhard), the axle also shifts when it lays out because the panhard pulls/pushes it to one side.

is it shifting to the left as you lay it out? or is it just stuck on the left

if it is just stuck to the left, your 2link bars are uneven in length, that bar running from across the axle makes the 2link bars solid, similar to an A-arm, causing it not to shift, it's fine without a panhard, but you have more stress on the bushings

It stays over to the left, and the link bars are uneven, with the bar at the end of the longer of the two, running to the shorter. Is there a way to keep it from shifting, aside from evening the bars?

fresh rides uses trac bars so i probably is just off a lil so bring it back to them and state the problem and thell fix it

Thanks, I wish it was that easy, I live in NC.

the trac bar will have a threaded end on one side either scre the bushing in more or theread it oyut and it will help center the axle

i did that same thing to a ford 2 link witha pahnhard bar connect the 2 links and it didnt werk it shifted to the drivers side bars were even and every thing was right ..i had to make a pahhard bar on the rear to keep it straight i guess them 2 link set ups with the bar acrosss making the 2links toghter dont werk on fords...seen it done in chevys and they seem to have no problems...

I will have to adjust the trac again, and center up the axle, then see if it moves again.
Thanks for all the input, if anyone has more, bring it.
