hey guys, im gonna be moving to wyoming from louisiana in april. ive never lived around cold weather or snow. i need some help or suggestions for anything i might need for my truck before i go up there.

i moved from louisiana to colorado. easiest thing i can say is to just buy a 4wd for winter. personally i dont even jack around with my bag truck in the winter. park it and start it once a week till spring time. if youve got a shop to use then you can work on it during the winter. good luck.

thanks for the help guys. i shoulda been more clear tho. i have a z71, i just thought maybe i should get a remote starter and stuff. i have never been in snow before, ever. what about snow chains?? im new, i dont know what to do! lol

4x4 will help alot. Auto Start is a must. Buy a nice big jacket, hat, and gloves on clearance this spring. Other than that you'll get used to it quick. No need for chain 4x4 is fine you will just have to learn to SLOW DOWN...

AMEN!thats one thing I hate are these fucktards that tink just cause they have a 4x4 they can drive like a douchebag in the snow, I see just as many suv's and 4x4's slide off or spin out as cars in the snow. get a good set of snow tires, studded or not, put em on a set of stockies and call it good.

here in ny all i see slide off the road are the SUVs. i would say to every 5 SUVS there maybe 1 car or 0. people think that they are so safe in those POS.

as for living in snow. well i think you will need to learn to drive all over again( in the snow that is). buy LOTS of warm clothes and maybe some long underwear. have fun sorry to heard that you have to move north

thanxs for all the help guys. ill only be in wyoming for a year tho, thank god. its 70 degrees today in louisiana. i know ill miss that shit. damn a bunch of snow.

can always look at it this way......you can slide around corners and all kinds of stupid shit in the snow and not fuck your truck up lol

they require chains during certian times/days here in colorado. but that might just be semi trucks. iv got 35-12.50s on my toyota and that thing is so squirrely in the snow. itll drift all 4 tires super easy rather than just get sideways. get a narrow tire and youll be good
