Why is everyone running a toy 5 lug set up on the maz's why wont a ford ranger 5 lug set up work as well, please give me input looking to convert mine over to 5 lug.

they are the same bolt pattern anyways. My guess is that the yota parts can come from older trucks, while rangers only started using control arms in '98.

i just had my front and back redrilled to 5 bolt, now i know that my friend used the front rotors and hub from an areostar minivan, i'm not sure what year, but there is a ytear where the hub and rotor are seperate and thats the one u want, all i could find was the one where the hub and rotor are 1 peice and it dosen't work

well the rangers either had ibeams on the older ones, or a freakin tall ass spindle on the newer ones, so the parts arent easy to put on a mazda and work right. the toyota parts also use a metric brake line so that eliminates another problem.

i used a toyota V6 2WD rear setup and lynrockers redrilled my fron hubs..worked great.

I also have front redrills from laynrockers and they work great ....but my question is...will a ranger rear end work? and how much narrower is it than a mazda rear end. ive been having a hard time finding toyo rears and it appears the rangers in junkyards around here are easyer to find.

Figure as long as it is not too close to the leafs then you dont have to go crazy finding wheels..the spring perches may have to be relocated and center the pinion..ranger rears are 8.8 style with tons of catalog parts available .but look for one from a V6 with thicker axles.

Leafs?.....spring perches? The whole reason im doing a conversoin is so that when i b/d this badboy my 5 on 4 1/2 rims will be inset enough to clear my bedsides because they taper as they go up. Also....if you look at my profile you might notice im running a 4 link. I wanna know if a ranger axle has been used in a mazda...pre 94! sqaure body rangers! And if anyone had good results.

ranger rears are pretty narrow, it would work, just make sure to snatch that driveshaft, and you'll rack your brain lookin for brake fittings for the american brakelines on the rear end.
