What are the disadvantages to removing all the emissions on the passenger side fender well with the stock carb? I want a weber but thats going to be alittle ways down the road. I just had my engine completely rebuilt and it only has 300 miles on it and I'm fixing to start bagging it and I want to clean up the engine bay.

thats the feedback system for the carb, if you remove it your truck will RLS. It will default to "limp home" running rich.

If you really want to get rid of that stuff, get a weber or holley carb.

That sucks not what I really wanted to hear. Is the going rate for a weber $400?

The holley 5200 is a much cheaper alternative but takes a lot more research and know how because they where OEM on so many different vehicles. Find one off of a pinto or mustang, get a weber adapter plate, fabricate a linkage and it should be good to go. Usual total cost is probably about $100, details are on my site. I'm still writing more in depth instructions and info, most of my time the past month though has gone into finding another job though.

i took mine off and yea, it ran rich. But it ran better because my carb was f-ed. Russ i think you need to write a book on mazda trucks, i havnt seen a question you havnt answered yet.
