DOA is BD 4 inches, since the BD I have gone to bigger wheels and tires. It is a standard truck and I would like to know what everyone has done about the clutch resoviour or HOWEVER you spell it. Mine sits right on my tire when layed out. Thanks U all.

usually raise it as high as possible, mod the linkage if necessary and recess it back into the firewall as much as needed. what size wheels and tires did you goto? I know you can raise it and recess it to clear 20x9's on a 235/35/20 tire, i've done it before.

i went 4" on my BD... i just cut out the factory place where the Master Cylinder mounted to the fire wall.. moved it up as much as i needed.. (like 2 1/2").. and tilted it up at an angle.. i also frenched it in a lil bit, using a piece of pipe.. ill see if i can post pics in my profile.. hope this helps brother

Guys this helps alot, I only went up to a 18 inch wheels and tire. I had 17 when the BD is done. Thanks for the help.

If you are only on eighteens you shouldnt have to recess it just raise it as much as your bodydrop unless you want to recess it for the future if you want to go with bigger wheels later.

here is rcdreamer's 98 Sonoma, he doesnt have a clutch, but you might be able to get the hydra brake booster and then have more room for the clutch master cylinder? not sure how much room you have to move with pedal bracketry though

Yeah John just move it up like 2"-2 1/2" and it should clear fine. Im gettin ready to do the same on mine in the next couple days once i get everything else on my bd taken care of.....

what about the computer plug thats right below the clutch resivoir? was it already relocated when the bd was done? if not youll have to move it also....ive gotta relocate mine also

I am working on John's Project DOA right now. Originally we did the bodydrop to house 17's and we moved up the wiring and the clutch master cylinder then. All has worked well. Now that it is back in the shop for updates with larger tires and wheels I may look into possibly frenching the clutch master cylinder into the firewall. Any pics of this finished or fab shots would be very helpful. I will post pics of this in progress when I can.
