I've got a 5" bodydrop, I can't find cowl hoods anywhere.. anyone have pics of there motormounts after they lowered there motor? My motor hangs 2" over the cowl, i need to drop it as much as possible, wether it'll fit under stock hood or not, it's gotta be better then it is now. Any help or pics would be appreciated. Thanks

I dont have any pics today but I'll post some for you tomorrow. Mine is pretty much the same. I lowered mine down as far as it would go without putting the weight on the things below.

I'm guessing you mean make new motor mounts James? That's what I would do. How far is the oil pan and everything from the ground Nick?

Would be nice if you could section the pan like 1 1/2 or 2" and drop the motor the full 2". Not sure what else you would run into but that truck would look clean as hell with a stock hood.

cant section the pan cuz its cast aluminum. 4.0s have the shortest pans and 4 bangers have the deepest ones...

hey Nick, with the 2.3/2.5 motor you can loose like 4 inches by building a inline intake for it that faces the front out of some tubing. If you have the fab skills or the money to have someone build one. I am currently drawing on up for my 2.3t that completely take the intake of the top of the valve cover just on the side of the motor. Someting like PMA did on their red ranger with the 2.4 motor in it. Cant find any pics tho.
