Just wondering if anyone knows of someone that has an engine driven compressor on their expedition? I've got a customer who wants one so i was just curious if anyone made brackets or not for them. Thanks

I think i remember seeing that it was a 4.6?

they make a kit for the 4.2. if its a 4.6 or 5.4 it has to be custom fabbed. and its not easy. tell em to get an oasis. itll be cheaper and just as fast.

Yeah i took a look at it and it didn't look easy at all that's why i was asking if anyone has one or knows someone who would make one. He mainly wants it so that there is no noise. It being quick was just a bonus.

yeah quiet is nice. i have an oasis and i love it. its pretty quiet (not silent) but no where near as loud as a viair. the good thing is it only runs for a few seconds so not only is it pretty quiet but its pretty quiet for a short period of time. its a double plus.

Serious?! I figured for how powerful those things were they would be HELLA loud. I can't believe they wouldn't be louder than the regular compressors. I guess i'll have to look into them. I know they cost $$$$!

Oh one more thing, what do you think i should do as far as the electrical system? Should i just install an extra battery & consider it good? Or do you think the stock system will be ok?

you dont need an extra battery for an oaisis because the amp draw they have is for a short period of time where as a viair runs for 12 mins to get to the same pressure. Making edc stuff isnt that bad, just make a bracket that comes off your alternator mount and then make some plates to mount the york up and get a pulley from air lift or onboardair.com

once again. wicked kustoms sells a bracket for the 5.4 ... should work on the 4.6 as well
