no room for 4 link

Okay, I ran into a little snag in my buildup. I am adding back seats to my dawg and have to put the fuel and air tanks behind the axle. Everything that was behind the cab has to go. I have been struggling for awhile and what to do for my link set up. I can run lower bars fine, but dont have the space to run my upper bars forward. So........ anyone have any ideas? I have done plenty of searching on 4 link vs. 2 link and forward vs reverse, but I may not have a choice. PLEASE HELP!!!!

the back seats are gonna be in the way. I am wanting the floor level with the front. I can fit the lower bars under the floor (its 2 x 3 ).

What if u would run the lower bars triangulated and the upper bars on the outside of the frame all forwards?

no way, not on a mazda. The attachemnet points would be so low on the frame to start with that your axle would move back and forth an inch or two with just bags over axle. Maybe on a fullsize, where you can get longer bars mounted higher on the outside of the frame, but not a mazda.

RX7 IRS. Compact, you can still do advantage bags and besides, 4 wheel camber just kicks ass.

you can run parallel with the tabs under the axle, but have the "lower" tabs about 4-5inches lower than the "upper" tabs...the bars will be lower than usual, similar to the height of the ubolt plate on a static drop truck with blocks. just run some big wheels

or you could run one of these parallel links



all the bars are under the axle...you'll just have to sacrifice the for-aft movement of the axle for your seats because of how your link bars will be mounted on the frame, pretty much your bars will be flat when layed out, rather than slightly angled upwards

but you can make it work, just dont set it up for that much lift

maybie i'm dumb, but are you adding seats in the bed?

I agree with Mark. Go with the parallel and run a panhard bar

parallel or 2 link with the link bars mounted on the outside of the frame...the bars wont be straight they will have a bend in them
