mine has that , i scrapped it had a hard line made from the distribution block in the passenger front fender well all the way to the single rubber line on the axel, kind of like an old school chevy , only thing is, no more abs, but the brakes still work great.

Same here, I'm doing a 97 for a customer right now, the brake thing I have handled from info I've gotten before, but what about the rear charcoal canister and all of that fuel crap? Any way to get rid of it, or do I just need to leave it back there with new mounts? His charcoal canister is already melted on the top too, which I thought was weird when I pulled the bed. I've bagged nissan's before, but never a 97 with the new brake and fuel crap in the rear. Any info would be much appreciated.

look under the hood there is a sensor that has boost sensor on it plug it. the rest of the crap in the rear unplug and hide. the brakes the left one on the t plug it. the other the follow it to the rear and swap lines. I just did this to my 97 hardbody.
