2000 S10 trouble code

I got a 2000 S10 w/65K on her and a while back the check engine light came on , i gat it check out and the code was po410 secondary air injection malfuntion can anybody help me with this ??????????

check to see if your air pump works, or better yet... have you removed it? its best to take it to some one that can diagnos (sp) the problem with a flow chart, that code only means there is a malfunction in that system. could be a bad fuse, bad connection or wire, a bad pump or solenoid

no i haven't taken out my air pump . i'm trying to avoid taken it to a shop looks like thats what i might end up doin thanks man
