hey guys i nvr bagged a truck before, but ive done my car so i'm familiar with an air ride setup, but not familiar on what all goes in to bagging the rear of my truck. can somebody give me a run down of what all i will need to do this project and about how much it will cost, i plan on doing all the work myself. so far i know i need a c-notch and i think i will go with a behind the axle or behind and under the axle setup from suicide doors

It depends on what setup you're gonna do in the back and what you want to accomplish. Do you want it to lay out? 4 link or monoleaf? Easiest would be to monoleaf it. That's what I did, but it rides like a$$. A parallel 4link would be the next easiest option, that way you don't need to get a fuel cell.

If you leave the tank where it is, you do need to raise it, cause it hangs about a 1/2" below the frame and will drag.

To lay out you're gonna need a step notch. Suicidedoors' step notch should work great, as long as the legs are long enough. I used a Silver Star Customs step notch, and the legs were a little short in front of the axle because the frame drops down.

Other than that, it's pretty straight forward.

Oh, if you do an over the axle setup, there is a vent for the axle tube on the drivers side, that goes through a block that the brake lines attach to, and holds that in place. It gets in the way of the axle brackets. I took the vent fitting out, bent the brake line a little, and stuck the vent tube back in the hole. Then used black RTV sealant to make it stay.

Hope that helps, if you have any questions, I have a ton of pictures I can scan and send you.

hey draggindakota i definatley would like to check out those pics and explain what you mean by monoleaf setup and how it works

No problem. A monoleaf is where you take out all the leaf springs in the pack except the main long one (and sometimes the overload leaf if you don't wanna go really low). That way the leaf springs are holding the axle in place, and it is being supported by the bags. I forgot to mention that if you do this, you;ll need a set of 3" drop blocks also. It's a quick, easy way to get down, but you get TONS of axle wrap and wheel hop, and it rides like a brick with wheels. My insides get rearranged everytime I drive. I'll get those pics scanned as soon as I can. They're packed up in a box right now cause I just moved. PM me your email addy.
