I know this has been covered, but i didnt quite find what i was looking for on a search...on a diagrams i looked at it called for 6 gauge wire from the battery to the relay?(i was told 12 woudl work?) i just need to know what size to run for the following...

valves-switches
battery-relay
relay(switch)-compressor
grounds...

and any other ones i might be missing...

and i have a viair relay/pressure switch... are all the fuses and shit i need built right into that? or do i need a fuse still for the wire to the ignition?

16 or 18 gauge for the valves power and ground is fine. The compressor wire depends on what compressor you have and how far it is from the battery.

thanks... i forgot to mention that stuff haha.. the compressor is a air zeinth and i have a honda accord and its in the trunk... what size wire from the relay to the compressor itself?

How many amp does a zenith draw? should say in the directions.

for any compressor wiring I would use 10 or 8 gauge anp put an in line fuse by the Batt like an 80 amp, for switches and oter wiring primary wire is fine.

If your not sure..12ga. will cover 30amps at 15'. I'd probably run a 10 ga. Same amount of work, negligable price difference and options for the future.

Do you know how many amps that comp draws? I wouldn't run 80amps threw a 10ga. wire so that fuse seems kinda beefy.

just run 8g, thats a long span of wire and the zeniths have alot of current draw if i remember correctly.

id run 8 gauge also. and probably a 40-50 amp fuse within 12" of the battery.

the viair p/s (the big grey ones) have a relay built in to them. and destinatins for each wire on the leads coming from them. for the one that says ign or acc, id run a 16 or so gauge wire from a switched source, either a toggle inside or the ignition switch. everything else is pretty cake.

i would go 8 gauge.
