Bag Setup For Towing HELP

I'm bagging my '02 F150 SuperCrew soon and I haven't decided how to set up the rear yet. It will be laying frame on 22's, but still has to be able to tow stuff like my '94 Ranger. I know I should probably put the bags over the axle, but would rather have them behind the axle to keep more bed space.
1.Can you tow with bags behind the axle?
2.Either way, should I use 2600's, 2800's, or sleeve bags?
This is the rear kit from SuicideDoors...not sure about the lower mounts carrying much weight.

as far as load carrying, behind axle = over axle. you will probably want to over build the mounts just because you'll be towing your pride and glory behind you!

sleeve bags are great for over axle set ups, but dont have the load capacity for towing. id use either 2600 or 2800s.

big rigs actually use a sleeve style bag so they would be great for towing, but you wont find something like an f9000 on them though i run the re82 bag over the axle on my fullsize, 8 1/2" of lift, and all the load capacity my car trailer or boat could ever have.

yea when i hear sleeve bag, i think f9000.

be nuts to see a fullsize w/ peterbilt sleeves bahind axle!! haha.

werd, i'd run 2800's over or behind the axle

I run 2b7 airlift bags over axle on my truck (same as 2600) and I tow 2 jetskis with a 4 cylinder and it's never given me any trouble or even had a hard time with the tongue weight or anything i've put in the bed

Well I thought sleeve bags were actually better for towing Part of my debate about bags over or bags behind is that it seems like there would be more stress on the axle causing it to want to rotate putting more stress on the links/bushings-make any sense?

how is that insane advise? f9000 bags are designed for a 1:1 ratio setup. ie bag over axle, behind axle, behind under axle. with the lower lbs rating, they ride a hell of a lot better than double convoluted bags that are designed for 2:1 ratio usage. ie, bags on bars, or middle of control arm.

f9000 bags wont, however, be a good choice if hes towing anything. they just dont have the load capacity. therefore he should use at least a 2600 lb bag.

if you can explain to me why it was insane advise...go for it.

behind will cause that. but as far as load capacity, its that same as over axle.

id personally go with over axle.

as far as bags go, the f9000 is rated at 1500lb each. 2600 and 2800 have that each as well.

so: f9000s - 3000lbs load capacity 2600s - 5200lbs load capacity 2800s - 5600lbs load capacity

which would you tow with?

your right there also refered to as rolling lobe. Iv used 1R9's a few times behind the axle with great success. I will dig up some info for ya
