Well im hoping that someone will have some things to check for me. Heres the background info: Its an 89 B2200, with an automatic, and its carbed.

This is whats happening:It starts, runs for 10-15 seconds and then just dies... instantly no matter what RPM your at, it just shuts off. I noticed that the accelerator pump in the carb isint squirting any fuel out when i blurp the throttle from the engine bay. However on one of my prolonged attempts to get the POS going... after starting it over and over and over again, it actually kept on running!! and ran for 30min before i turned it off. Anything i should be checking? thanks in advance.

fuel pump or filter might be dirty or grounding out some how

when it warms up above -20 im gonna check the fuel filter and just bypass it to see what happens. nice truck mike, like the rims

that absolutely sounds like the filter or the pump, great guess Mike B. Could be gas tank rust too, clogging the pickup screen.

I had a similar problem with my Nissan, it actually turned out to be the relay. I just thought Id add that in if the pump and filter dont turn out to be the problem

thanks alot guys!! the tank is brand new, so it wouldnt be the rust. But tomarrow ill check the relay for sure(ill just bypass it and put it on constant on) and ill check the filter and post back to let you know how it went.. The things you do for women eh?? lol, if it was my mazda, i woulda burnt it
