chevy alternator?

hey ive heard of putting chevy alternators on trucks like our, my question is what do i need to get to do it other than the obvious alternator ie: what make,model chevy and shit like that

I believe any 1 wire alt will work, plus you need to get a v- groove belt pulley for it also..

can i take the pulley off of my alternator to make it fit. and will the factory braket be a problem

I think that your pulley will not work the shaft size might be diff. and you might need to clock the alt. or make a new bracket..

probably the same year model as your truck
