Lanzar Amps.

Does anybody sell or use lanzar amps?

lanzar up till 1998, good stuff, dare say GREAT stuff, Zed design.

lanzar newer than 1998, crap. total and complete crap. If someone says they are good, its because they never heard an old school Opti 50 bang out 141db on 4 tens. thats a FIFTY WATT RMS AMP. Who need s 6 gajillion watts when 50 RMS makes you lose your breath.

That's not what i wanted to hear. I just ordered a lanzar amp.

cheap amps sound cheap, sorry, its a rule in car stereo that you get what you pay for.

I did stereo for 12 years, and the one thing I found was you could power your highs with a golf cart battery mounted in a trash can and they would still sound decent, as long as you spent good money on your sub amp.

It has to do with the frequencies the amp is called on to reproduce, the low end freqs are BIG, and need lots an lots of power from a beefy power supply. Mid and high, you arent really asking any real work of an amp powering the highs.

Not knocking your decision, but you have it backwards. The Lanzar Opti 50 in 1997 cost 359 bucks. For 50 watts. You could buy TWO "1000 watt" Lanzars for that now. Zed audio made some of the best amplifier designs in the world. Then Lanzar saw dollar signs and sold out to the cheap japanese producers.

Well I orded a lanzar261 amp for 259 bucks to power a stoker. I think i'm gonna cancel the order. What do you know about alphasonik amps?

its just like fosgate back in the mid 80s
punch 45s 75s 150s power300 power650 AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST POWER1000

i had a punch45 runnin 2 12s cerwin vega dvc hittin about the same 143db.
the power650 was 1400.00 back then(1987)...

now i wouldnt install one(fosgate) even if a customer brought it to me

once they sell out to the japs..... its all over!
thank god in 2006 ces is making those fucks put the correct specs on amps....

sub amp is the MOST important amp in your system!

piss on Lanzar it's cheap internet ebay sale crap I have bought from them twice non of ther shit last more than a month...fuck a warranty I bashed it into a million pieces for sucking so bad...even got approved to be a dealer but I couldn't bare to sale crap like that...my persal opinion about Lanzar....mid grade garbage!
