Shaving the tailgate handle and putting a roll pan on the mazda b2200.. Wanna paint the entire thing flat black. Just figured rattle can... What prep should be done before spraying? Im not looking for perfection but decent.

dont let the flat black be a cop out for givin up on paint, sherwin williams sells all colors of primer, they're black is shiny tho

For flat black use PPG DP LF primers...they are epoxy and will do the best job at sealing out water, and they wont fade too quickly like rattle cans do. Or if you want a cool colour primer use PPG K36 tintable primer sealer, and just add whatever base colour you want to tint it.

FYI sherwin willaims dark grey primer is black b4 you shoot it.
