I am trying to hook up my ps2 and inverter so that the ps2 keeps its memory when I turn the truck on and off. I hooked the inverter up to 12V constant power thinking that would keep the ps2 memory but that didn't work as the inverter kept power even with the ignition off. So, my question is how do I hook everything up so that it keeps memory just like my cd player does whenever I turn the truck on and off?

memory card should keep its memory w/ the power off.

NOpe sure isnt. Really isnt anyway to do it with just a power in verter because all it is is either constant and ground or switched and ground. You might be able to figure out what the voltage is after the sony power supply inside the unit and make something work but im sure its not too easy!

hey you wont lose anything. it has a built in computer so it stores everthing in it, its the samething as tuning that switch off in the back of the ps2 it shuts off all the power to it or just unpluging it from the wall its all still going to be there when you turn it back on. I have had my ps2 in my truck for about 5 months and ive had it on maybe 10 or so times and everything is still there so no you wont lose anything by tuning the interverter off.

ive got the switch in the back of the ps2 that controls the main power on which i cant turn it off because ive got it mounted in my dash, ive got the power cord that came with it run to the bottom of my dash and then pluged in the interverter and then the interverter is pluged into the aux plugs that are under the dash in my truck which is a cigarette liter plug and when i want to play i just turn on my interverter on and then the red light comes on on the ps2 and then i just turn the ps2 on and when i get done i just turn the ps2 off then i turn the interverter off and most of the time i dont even have the interverter pluged in when im not playing it. Look at my truck in my profile its the xtreme and u can see my interverter in the floor under the dash.

I have mine hooked up the same way but everytime I turn the ps2 and inverter off and then back on the dvd starts back at the beginning.

Anybody else know how to solve this problem????

theres no way around that its a dvd only vhs will do that, there are some dvd player that will save the spot that u stoped at when u turn the dvd player off but when u take the power away from it, it will start at the very beginning.
