so we backhalved this 86 mazda b2000 xcab, we pulled all the fuel lines off and this little sucker(see pic below)well now we're reinstalling everything and forgot this, and the truck will crank over, but it won't stay running unless you give it alot of gas, as soon as you remove your foot, it dies again.

if those don't work, then heres direct link

just curious what this thing is, what it does, and where these hoses are supposed to plug into.

anybody have maybe a fuel line diagram of what goes where?

also, i didnt rip the stuff off teh front fenders, im thinking something may not have gone back where it needed too.. anyone know if anything on those fenders is useful or maybe even have a pic. im trying to piece this thing back together

thanks for the help.

thats the rollover valve that stops fuel flow if you flip in an accident. If you plugged that line, unplug it.

haha thats the problem, the truck is in my driveway, this rollover-valve is in the garage, its not even attached. we saw 3 lines coming from the motor, and saw 3 metal tubes sticking out from the tank, so we just matched the 3 lines up with the tubes they were closest to. where should this valve go, and would it not being on the truck cause it to not run?

thanks for the help

you probably have the supply line switched with the return.

also, there should be two tubes on the sender and one on the tank itself, the one on the tank is a vapor line, the two on the sender are the supply and return lines.

You dont need the rollover valve (unless you plan on two wheeling), but you could have a line switched by accident. The big diameter line is the supply, the next size is the regulator return, and the last is the vapor line from the charcoal canister. If you switched two, you would pressurize the tank and run out of fuel.
