Well I have never said any of the above and in fact in the last one you posted I told you most of the things that were wrong....Anyways to comment on this one, I hate to say it but don't start with a picture that has that many reflections in it. Go to a somewhat empty parking lot and take a picture of a vehicle there so you don't have so many reflections (look at the paint from where you are taking the picture and try to move around the vehicle before you take the pic to get the best reflections. You have to eye it first.) But if you do insist on using the one above, try to take out as many of the reflections as possible by whatever means you choose (brushing, stamp, healing...etc)but leave the highlights of the body in there, you still want the paint to look like it has clear on it. The moulding around the pass. window needs to be the color of rubber not painted, if you are trying to make a tonneau cover you need to get rid of the rivit holes around the edge, and really like I said before take your time with it, stand back and look at it and ask yourself what looks out of place or funny. -Seriously though I would recommend starting with a different image...it will be easier in the long run and the outcome will probably be a lot better.

1. too many highlights... make a new layer under your paints.. pick a color thats in between the really light and really dark colors... and brush a layer over your highlights.. and set it to multiply or something to take away from the highlights..

2. find higher res pics

3. post finished renderings and you'll get more feedback

4. zoooooom in ALOT when your lasso'ing

the same thing you did to the window to ditch the reflections, do to the paint.

Thanks for the help, its greatly appreciated. and with the pic i would use a different pic...and to tell you the truth i went about 2 or 3 days without doing anything b/c i was somewhat scared away because of the number of reflections. and the guy that asked for it... requested that i use the pic he gave me..so it leaves me in a bind. :-\ But thnx again to you RJ, Matt, and Robbie.

also I don't know what kind of monitor you are using, but I can see certain parts in the background that there is some kind of light gray cutouts, play with you brightness contrast on your paint layer or one of you others to make it darker just to show you where they are at. -rj

best advice i can give on that one is get a new picture, that one sucks ass. too dark, too many reflections, and looks almost like a shadow-side pic. and like matt said, look into different lasso techniques.... and if the customer is set on u using that picture then i'd send him on his way cause i'd want to have it perfect and that wouldn't result in perfect results for sure... good luck, later
