going to bag my expedition soon.. just wondering on how hard it'll be to get down on 22"s.. what all has to be done upfront?

also, are the rear frame rails the same as an f150? cause if so i think i'm going to pickup a kp components 4 link.

the easiest way would be to use factory lca and cut upper shock and spring mount off. fabiricate a bag bracket off the frame. notch the frame for tie rod. raise uca. (ekstensive sells a kit if ur not comfortable raising the uca) and if that doenst get u down u can also put a 2" drop spindle.

im not exactly sure how the frame is in the rear, if its the same or not. put the rear is pretty easy. depending if u want side to side dpends if u want a 2 link or a four link. on an expedition i would probably go with a parallel four link, and u may not have to cut soo much into the floor. check out my profile, just finished my body drop

I'm doin a 97 expedition right now. I'm only going till the tires hit the fenderwell though cause the guy doesnt have the money yet to go all the way. Just bottomed out on the fenders the frame has about another 6" to go until it hits the floor. I think there was a tutorial in the tutorial section on here for doing one on 22"s. Don't remember how thorough it is though. I would definetly get spindles. The LCA are bottomed out on the frame just to get to the fenders

Ive done one expedition on 22's...For the front definately doing a torsion style from bag mount with a plate off the frame with 2 gussets,I also did the spindle flip at the time courtesy of Wicked Kustom,TN before anyone came out with spindles for the f150/expedition..the firewall had to be tubbed a little bit for tire clearence when laid out fenders cut and inner fenderwells removed some wiring was involved as well. The rear is where it gets difficult..It comes with a stock parralel 4 link but the bars are way to short and frame gets in the way from it being able to lay out.So i ditched the setup and run a forward wishbone 3 link inside the frame rails..I had to make a tunnel for part of the driveshaftinside of the cab..some crossmembers underneath had to be notched for dirveshaft clearence as well.I built a custom fuel cell behind the axle and mounted the tanks there as well.Tubs inside the rear area as well as a cover over the notch..i also tubbed into the door jamb area for clearence for a bigger size wheel.good luck hit meback with anymore questions

What every one else says about doing the front, works bitchin. The rear can get pretty low with a c-notch, you have to make the notch just big enough so that the upper link can recess into the frame. If you want to really lay it out, check out totallypolished.com they have some good pics of an Expedition that they layed frame on. good luck

ur also gonna have to do something bout the tranny xmember, because that things really gonna hold u up. before i bodydroppped my truck, i just cut the bottom of and plated it real good and it came down another 2-3 inches!
