geo metros are faster than a Mazda...and it's not about how fast the truck goes, it how hard it has to work on a day to day bases. There is nothing you can say to make me like the 4.3L v-6.I had one, it was in the shop every two months.

I have a 6 in mine and it has plenty of power, and saves gas!

i have a v6 in both of my full sizes, it it very reliable but is WORSE on gas cuz its a smaller motor pulling the load of a larger truck. my dad has had 2 NBS chevys with 5.3s and gets better milage than i do.

the good note is there are alot of performance parts available for it so u can make it a lil stronger.

I would say any fullsize truck with a V6 wouldn't be that good. The only thing Mike has ever made sence on is the resale would be crap on it. Stay away from V6's and BYC!

well guys i just got home from the local gmc dealership and my buddy that works there said he could put me in a brand new reg cab 06 with 4.8 for about 15. he even said they could finance in a denali front end and leather seats to my color choice. so I am gonna think on it for a day or 2 and maybe go see what he can do for me as far as payments are concerned..

oh yeah, lovin' the V-8

well the price difference on a v6 and v8 brand new is only about 5-600 so i figured, why not...

That would be my truck and it runs pretty fuckin good 4 what it is, ofcourse its not a "hot rod" but its deff. not underpowered and mines been in the shop, lets see...none. But if u can get the 4.8 for 15k, do it. on bitches!

My 97 Has a V6 in it and has good power. I know its not what a V8 would offer but it saves a lot of fuel milage.
