What are some things to consider when starting a project like this? Example, Do daily driven bd's flex or stretch their metal in various places? Is dragging possible w/o ripping rockers or rollpans? I think body dropping to the pinch mold is cool, but is doesn't seem that sturdy to hold any large amounts of weight? These are more basic questions for the well- experienced minitrucker who deals with these issues on a daily basis. NOTE: I HAVE ALL 4WD SHEET METAL. Regards, 2ndxrnd

I'm sorry to say man, but draggin rockers is goin to fuckem up, adn you're going to tear at least on roll pan off. Once you drop it to the pinch and drag it a little while, your pinch will be non existant (sp?) adn you'll be much happier in mind, body and soul knowing you are that much lower to the ground. But whatever floats your boat man, if you want it to the rocker do it, I drove mine almost everyday until it got torn apart (again) and I know of several that are driven daily with no problems

if ur going to the pinch when u bd u get the pinch and the frame at the same level so there is no weight sitting on the pinch, its just touching and the weight is on the frame...........like what ima do when i bd my truck is im bend the pinch under and then lay the frame out flat then cut it to lay true rocker.... so if u need anymore advice IM me on here and ill try to help

best advice I can give you is dont hack it up, and dont let idiots talk you into doin some unsafe shit. a bd done right can be driven every day and have no problems but if it gets f-ed up all you have is problems

A body drop/bags can be perfectly safe, anything you do can be safe and driven daily. It just needs to be built right from the start. You need to get an idea of the strengths and weaknesses of the truck. Practice makes perfect.

And even if things break you have to be prepared for that and be prepared for fixing it, that's just part of building a vehicle.

I recommend a 1/34" b.d. with 4x4 tin so you dont bash the bottoms of the fenders and box. this will also allow you to shut the hood quite easily
