everytime i come to a complete stop my ranger sort of feels loose. like some bearings or somethings not tight. I cant figure out what it is. The best thing to compare it to would be like riding a bicycle with a really loose headset. Any ideas what it could be? My check engine light came on too last night. ANy ideas?

id check where the ibeams connect to the frame may be the bushings are loose or really worn? if not them id check the hub and brake assembly but i really dont know that could be whats up

Sounds like part of your suspension is loose check all your bolts, and also make sure nothing is in the bed that can move around. As for the Check engine light I doubt it has anything to do with your truck feeling loose, you should be able to get the codes read for free at AutoZone if you have one near you.

if you have bushings in the link setup check those. my friends ranger had a parrallel 4 link and all the bushings were wore out causing his axle to sway badly when coming to a stop. it shook the whole truck.
