Hey guys sorry to ask this again im sure but i didnt see anything to help me out. I was wondering whats the difference between stock floor and traditional? If you could just explain this to me or if you have pictures that would help to. Im have a little bit of an idea of the stock floor setup but do you have to mess with the frame at all? These are just some questions i was hoping to get answered if at all possible. Thanks again fellas.

traditional: cut the floor out and raise it up so the body sits on the ground requires cutting the front frame horns and lowering them so the bumper and radiator drops

stock floor: cut/rebuild the frame shorter so the floor stays in the same place in the cab but the tranny tunnel has to be raised front horns have to be dropped for the bumper and radiator to drop

so heres the down falls

traditonal: cutting and welding alot of sheet metal lose leg room and head room

stock floor: keep all the leg room and head room but as said before tranny tunnel has to be raised and a new frame from the fire wall back has to be made

hope that helped thats the basic jist of every thing

traditional bodydrop: basicly just to give you an idea you cut the floor out of your cab and weld up the sides and you mught have do to some stuff with the firewall
stockfloor: you would build a entire new frame most lickly out of 2x3 box tubing and stuff up under the body of the truck letting you keep your stockfloor
instead of losing head room in a cut floor and stockfloor is just a lot cooler
hope this helps you out

theres only one flaw to stock floor other then difficulty ,you loose room under the truck i.e. exhaust .........

and there is channeling which you cut channels in the floor for the frame to go through and lower the cab mount but you still have to raise the the tranny tunnel and cutting the front frame horns and lowering them so the bumper and radiator drops and etc...

No need to be a dick He was saying its pretty damn near impossible to do a cut floor bodydrop in a weekend without doing a less than half-ass hack job. Even the best of the best fabricators would agree that 2 full days isnt enough. I know what you meant the first time but you didnt need to call someone a dick for correcting you.
