good, very early mornin everyone.

dont worry husk, not gonna ask about semis.... lol

just bought a 1968 Chevrolet C/30 with a 3spd TH350, bolted to a 396, cherrybomb's, shaved doors, etc. sold my 1992 25th anniversary edition camaro that i had about 10k into for this truck... i miss my camaro, but it was time for a change, had that car since i was 16... (24 now)

now yeah shes a project, a good old gas guzzling, heavier than hell, 8-lugger 1ton project, she has her flaws (a few big ones not in the pictures, like interior, bed inside is basically rustoleum red, no tail gate, having some shimmy's up front sometimes (have to get that looked at)

but even after 2 days and about a tank and a half worth of gas, i love the hell out of her!

i dubbed her Big Blue. GIGGIDY!

btw, my name is Lou, if thats seriously important.... lol

ps, will have better pictures tommorow, these are actually the pictures from the cl post that the previous owner posted.

okay, so its turned into the truck from hell, i still love it though.

so far in the past 24 hours, i sheared lugs off, cause they were only lik .5 ton bolts, not 1t...
so i had those all replaced, drove it up to put insurance on it, and lost ALL my lights... took 4 hours to get fixed (wires sat next to xhaust, melted thru... not something easily thought of or found) and i have to get my breaks done, my oil pan gasket and oil changed, and my rear diff leaks.

oh, and anyone know on good prices for tires? i think these are damn near the originals (theyre dryrotted everywhere)

HALP!!!!!!!

Cool truck, welcome to the site.

Sheared the lugs off? The wheel studs? Probably just from them being overtorqued, way overtorqued, too many times. Or what exactly happened?

Don't let it getcha down, always the debugging routine when you buy something. Just don't go on any long trips before you get it solid.

What size tires are on there, then we can give some suggestions.

the lugs snapped off (with some stud left in it) while driving. studs were only half ton lugs, but thats fixed now. tires up front are 17.5" and in rear 16.5" in diameter, pouring rain right now, will get rest of measurements later.

hey sparky, im not giving up! lol i love my truck, plans yes, not entirely sure what yet (but first things first, have to debug, and get her saftey stuff fixed first. also anyone on the forums got a bench seat for my truck? it needs one bad. lol). as much as i love the way your guys' trucks looked slammed, i dont think im gonna go that route (not gonna lift her either). im thinking more along the lines of this( ), but still keep the full bed and do a repaint eventually. (and of course my duallys)
