so i finished installing my 4 link, i tacked everything in and checked for binding and everything worked good. so i welded everything up solid and then ran into a problem one of the shocks bottom out on one side making the rear not lower properly. this is my first 4 link i installed by the way. but what im wondering is if theres another way other then cutting i can do to fix this problem? im open for suggestions. one side is fine. i must of mounted the axle bracket for the shock a lil higher. but is there something i can do to fix this other then having to cut the bracket off and try to reweld it? would it be possible if i put a smaller shock on? im open to any suggestions

i wanna make it right. i mean the 4 link installed great. just those damn shock mounts, tho i used the stock mounts on the frame. maybe i can move the location of those.

Just build new mounts for your shocks instead of trying to make your stock ones work. Its not too difficult to do or anything, just a little 3/16 steel and some time will fix you up. What do you have for shocks? If your bags are over the axle a 61 VW bug front shocks have enough travel and are cheap to buy. If you want a set of shock brackets fabbed up shoot me an IM and I'll help you out. I make all kinds of chassis stuff, I'm in Guelph.
