do the z when you stock floor it. That is, just make the bottom of the new frame even with the engine crossmember. I did it on my mazda and cured the awful ghetto lean. I dont like trucks that lay higher in the front.

Till then, maybe try some of the other suggestions.

IF I AM STOCK FLOORING THE TRUCK 4" AND I HAVE TO Z THE FRAME 2" MY ENGINE WOULD BE 6" HIGHER THAN IT IS NOW UNLESS I DROPPED MY MOTOR MOUNTS!!! DAMN WHY CANT THEY CATER TO THE WHOLE AFTERMARKET AND NOT JUST DOMESTIC STUFF LIKE S10'S AND COLORADOS

lower the motor after the Z....its not that hard. If you can build a stock floor frame i would hope you could lower some motor mounts!

Try having a ranger!SFBD 3.25" with a front Z of 2"...brought the engine up 5.25" over stock...had to drop it a couple and it still doesn't fit under a stock hood...close, but just one damn thing is too high!

I'm not sure you can, or even need to, stock floor a tacoma 4 inches. The factory frame is only 5 inches tall if I remember.

And coincidentally thats how you get some drop BACK. So if you make the new rails as low as the factory engine crossmember, you are dropping the new rails an extra inch or an inch and a half, then when you use 3x2 rails it works out to be a (stock rail 5 - new rail 3 = 2" ) + 1 1/2" "Z" = 3.5 inch stock floor bodydrop. There have been a ton of Tacomas stockfloored this way. To do a 4 inch stockfloor (without the z, like you said) you would need a 1 inch tall frame.

Then you only have to lower the motor slightly to clear the hood, a 3 inch traditional bd on a taco only interferes slightly with the stock hood.

Its not that uncommon to have custom spindles fabbed for the offroad racing scene...i thinkt oo if you can build a new frame u can build new spindles...if not then i would contact KB DESIGNS in Santee,CA only shop i know of that does desert trucks and air suspension,
