98 yota rear?

Is there a difference in the 2wd rear vs. the 4wd rear?

Also are the spindels taller on a 4wd? If they are I am looking for a stock 2wd set if anyone has some laying around.

Im lookin to swap out the rear of my mazda. I have a friend that owns a junkyard and has a wrecked yota just sitting there. Its 4x4 though and I wasnt sure if there was a difference between that and 2wd

He also has two 87 supras there with IRS but im afraid it would be to much money to make those work.

So to better answer the question I am trying to convince myself one way or the other. I cant make up my mind between IRS or straight axle. I really want the IRS but im also trying back half the truck within a $1200 budget.

i would say the 4x4 is wider but i dont know for sure..and the front suspension is all different..

I plan on using Kustom Werks control arms so I just need the spindels and ball joints on the front.

KW arms come with ball joints
