how hard is it to go from long to short? and can it get expensive to be done? i've seen a post about it,but can't find it...thanx

You have to stretch the frame and driveshaft.
Have fun, I know someone who is getting it done to an extra cab S-dime

doubt you would have to stretch the frame and driveshaft to fit from long to shortbed...your confused

so all it really come down to is shorting the frmae and driveshaft,and some wires and lines and your good!

buy a shortbed frame-$500
buy a short bed-$500 if your lucky,
drive shaft,
fuel lines have to be altered, im sure there are other smaller things to be done

Just shorten the frame and the driveshaft and you should be all set. When I lengthened my driveshaft it cost about $150 bucks with new U-Joints and resleeved so it should prolly cost around there to get the driveshaft shortened. You may be able to keep the stock gas tank in the stock location too.
