I'm wondering how much work but mostly how costly it would be to make a 99 Ram reg. cab long box into a short box? I'm having a really hard time finding a regular cab short box so I thought if it wasn't too expensive I might as well get a conversion done.

kind of a pain, you have to move and shorten alot of shit. i just wanna know where you are that you cant find one of the more abundunt style of rams on the road.

I'm in Vancouver BC, there are a few rams around it just seems that 70% of them are 4x4 and then if they are 2wd I cant find a regular cab or its a v6. So me and my dad found a regular cab v8 but its a long box so he's going to be using it for during the summer and then I was thinking about buying it off of him and making it into a project truck, so if its not that pricey I will get the frame shortend so I can have a short box.

you would have to move the gas tank and or filler, chop the frame before the axle and shorten it and then cut it off behind the axle and shorten that. Your best bet if you wanna make it a short bed is to bag it and then rear clip it for a short bed. because it will be the same amount of work and $$$ but with a better result.
