i am wanting to smooth out the inside of my bed by laying all new sheetmetal in. i am curious what gauge of metal are you guys using????

im using 14 gauge. i wouldnt use anything thinner than 16 gauge.

16 guage will work, u can run a full bead on it, thats what i doing with mine, and i'm laying it over the factory floor

If you're gonna lay it over the factory bed floor, you can use 16 gauge no problem.

I whent with all new.I used 1" tubbing for braces and 16 gauge for the floor works and looks great but heavy as shit!!

i used 10 gauge on my shit but that is way overboard + i drag alot so it hopefully will help...........

oh & also i built a frame to lay the sheet on.

im using 18 gauge, b/c its easier to work with, and i dont think u should need any heavier gauge, if u lay it over the stock floor and bed walls.
