i know there is a shitload of posts on this but none have really helped me im gonna be running copper to the front bags on my truck. since where im running my lines is kind of close to my exhaust. anyway can i use a regular compression fitting and do i need to flare the end of the tubing. im knew to hardline so any suggestions would help except the people who are gonna tell me to use stainless instead of copper thanks in advance

hey man if you are using compression fittings you don't need to flare the tubing, you only need to flare the tube if your running flare type fittings hope this helps

You should just be able to use regular compression fittings and be fine. Flare is generally for gases so I wouldn't think you would need to go to the trouble.

i've heard people mention the possibitilty of work hardnening and cracking but have never had anyone explain it head-on.

its just where the line vibrates over time and cracks or breaks much like bending a paper clip back and forth trying to break it. it will get real hard to move for just a little while then get soft and break
