Greetings Everyone!

I've been lurking your site for a while now, ever since a good friend of mines decided to sell me his white 97' Chevy 3500 WT. I take ownership tomorrow. I'm pretty excited. For as long as I can remember I've wanted a slammed dually. When the Big Rig Rim adapters came into the scene I knew I had to have one.

Plans for the Dually.. Leave the WT hi-lo dual beams 8x5's front end on it because the Caddy fronts & the Sierra/Burb front ends are everywhere. Color match the grill, mirrors, front bumper & rollpan, airblue tint all the way around. I already ordered new lens/lights all the way around, I plan to static 5/7 drop on 22" Townastys on 35's plus air helpers.

Background: I'm DoD security providing over-watch security for our troops, I served in Iraq for 3 years, now in Afghanistan. I'm a proud TEXAN. I'm a rim whore. Wheels are my thing. I'm a Imports & Domestics fan. I think I have the best of both worlds and this is a way for me to tow them everywhere. I own a 87' Buick Grand National w/ 27k miles & a 96' Honda Integra Type-R, Japanese right hand drive version.

The pictures I have of the WT are pretty much garbage cell phone pics but I can post if you guys would like & post pics of my other rides as well.

Posted up in Downtown Baghdad, Iraq.

man, i love the grand national, shes a beauty. such a wicked car. what rims are on there ? and any motor work done or all original? and im a huge fan of the right hand drive. looks like a super clean car. so, whats the real story, how hard is it for you to import a car here from japan? my bro in navy, been there for bout 6 years, and well i been bugging him forever haha

Thanks bro! They are Welds Pro-Somethings? discontinued on the site I went looking for the names. Really light weight aluminum tho. She is all original, Plastic still on the dash. all the paperwork. I shipped her to Seattle and drove her to Texas on vacation. This was my dream car as a kid. The bad to the bone commercials? forgetaboutit!

It's not hard to import a car. if you have a business lisc. in the automotive field. Cause US Customs wouldn't have a problem releasing it to for off-road use only to a business. Then switch over everything to pass DOT & EPA yourself, with a donor USDM Acura Integra. Done. Skylines & such are harder because you have to damn near fabricate the pieces to make it legal. So aim for something that we have a USDM version of when you go real JDM for cheap.

I paid for the car, shipping, customs fee & customs broker all together about $6500 plus junkyard parts to legalize another $250.

no prob !! love the fact that its all original. thats not to common , least around here. most guys build up the motor, lower them, put racing buckets in, ect.. you get the point. haha nothing against those guys, its respectable, just not my style. only thing i really cant stand is , the guy out here donked one out. 24s, speakers in the doors, ect. that made me cringe.lol ill deal with it on a monte or a regal but really? a grand national . anyway, so your in afghanistan now? any other truck guys with you ?

No way man! I was at the 7/11 once and some dude walks up and tells me he has a Turbo T... I go around the corner and it was all jacked up on 24's n bullhorns. I was saddened that day, I am into cars. Not bullshit. So aftermarket anything here.. Original Tape Player... even the lint is factory. hahah
