When I bought my truck it said B2600I on it, but I found out that it is a B2200I motor, how can you tell what year my motor is..

Did any of the B2600I trucks come with a flat hood..

if it says "12 valve" on the valve cover and has a timing chain (no plastic front timing cover), its a B2600i with the fuel injected mazda 2.6l.

If it does not say 12 valve on the valve cover, it will have a plastic timing belt cover that will have 2.2 molded into it. The block will also say F2 on the drivers side.

Or just post a picture of your engine bay, I can identify it in about 3 seconds.

does the cover say 2.2 on it?

Is it fuel injected? It will have an aluminum intake up over the valve cover and an AFM (air flow meter) in the drivers front corner. If you have a round air cleaner assembly on top of the intake, its carbureted and all that hosing is just feedback crap for the carb.

I ask because the fuelies started in late 91. I had one once, bone stock. I tried finding the guy I sold it to but he moved. It even said B2200i on the badge, which I am told not all of them did. Never should have sold that truck, it was gorgeous and started every single time.
