ok I got a 95 ext cab z71..Its gonna be a daily driver and I'll be towing my truck with it..I wanna put bags on the rear just to keep the back from sagging..When the truck is sitting factory should the bag be partially inflated?? any help would be appreciated

when your rear susp. is sitting stock try to place your bag slightly longer than what the bag sits at idle. that way under a load you can still acheive stock height, maybe a little higher. also when your without a load with bags deflated they wont be fully extended without air pressure

just buy the bolt on bag kit from firestone...

the bolt on firestone kit is what i have in my daily drive and it works like a hot dam.the one thing firestone said was to keep 15-20 lbs of air in the bags at all times.

Kit would be okay..but I'm also thinking of lifting it a couple inches..that would make a kit useless...besides I'd rather fab my own kit..how many inches on a firestone bag should there be between the top and bottom of the bag when sitting stock height? Also what size bag is everyone running? 25 or 26 ?

those kits come with 9000 sleve bags

for the 2500 and 2600 bags the intalled hieght is around 4.5" to 5.5"

9000's are 9" to 9.5"

hope that helps any

do the air over leaf from ridetech for like $300

9000s are only rated at like 1000 lbs were as the 2500 and 2600 are more....

We're running 2600's in the back of our 72 burban for towing capacity. We have them extened about 3.5 inches at ride height, and you need to always remember to keep a little bit of pressure in them to keep them from deforming.

just throw so air shocks on it. let the air out it will be stock height , air it up when towing, no sag. it would be way cheaper , just my 2cents.
