well sonoma mike, i hope you are not talking about MY FLARE TOOL that none of you asked to borrow and have no idea how to use. considering it is a $400 tool, and has done numerous amounts of flaring with no problems, it might just be the operator.

Stainless does it too. The problem alot of people have is first they don't buy it annealed. Then they use a pipe cutter which isn't a good idea if your going to flare it since you are work hardening it right at the point that is going to be flared the most. And finally the flare tool itself. You need one that roles the flare out and after your done burnish it. If you don't do the above you have work hardened it before it even sees the road.

No home slice we are not talking about your tool. It was given to us on accident, but was not the one that we were using. I am sure that with your expert assitance it would have been done correctly, however all of the other guys in AON had never flared 1/2 before. So it was a first for us and them. I guess we should have came to you first.
