just buy drop coils. he'll be happy he doesnt have to go spend an arm and a leg for new coils when he wants to sell the truck. It will ride shitty and may squeak because the coil wont seat as securely as a stock spring. that is too new of a truck to destroy the coils when the aftermarket ones arent that expensive.

i wouldnt worry bags are usually in the future when you start getting lower.

man i don't see why people cut springs. I know it is a cheap alternative to getting low but everytime i have priced drop coils they are like $60 for the set. Do it right the first time and you won't regret it.

exactly, its even more work than a simple remove and replace with drop coils. and if you do bag it in the future you cant even sell your stock coils to someone else who hacked theirs and wants to go back to stock. also if your state has yearly inspection, you can pass easily. in most states cut coils will not pass inspection.

my s-10, one and a half coils got me down to tire meeting fender, couldn't fit my finger between the tire and fender. i say cut em, cause like Joe said, baggin' will soon follow. and trying to sell used lowering spring just ain't as easy as it sounds, just cut yours and scrap em when your done. and honestly, the ride wasn't as bad as people beat it up to be, it rode pretty smoothly. the rear is another story when the only suspension you have and the axle resting on the bump stops

Yeah, cut them a half a coil at the time until the truck sits where you want it...Keep in mind that it will settle up to an inch after you drive it though
