I got a 2000 Dakota and I'm getting ready to body drop it my questions are:What are some things I should look out for? Whats the biggest obstacle I'll face?Whats the best way to go about doing it?Thanks for all your help....If theres anything esle I may have not mention but should know just let me know....thanks again

You will probably have to narrow your rear end or put an independent in it. You may have to move your rack and pinion up. May have a few more issues depending on what size motor and what size wheels you have

things to look out for are the low hangin front xmember, steering, hood clearance.

and wheel tuckage if you havent already taken care of that.

do not move your rack n pinion up, z the frame, yes, do not move just the rack up, you'll screw up the whole geometry of the front end. Someone in fresno has done it, and he can't drive over 45 because of how bad the wheels are towed out, from him moving the rack up.

Moving the rack is a VERY bad idea, just bite the bullet and z the frame. BTW what is this "bodydropping" thing, never heard of it.lol

If you need any pics of anything hit me up. I have a standard cab in my shop right now that we have z'd the frame and put a 2.75" bd on. He is running 17's with some bigger tires on them and we still have made everything fit. I have lots of pics on pretty much the whole project. My suggestion is to sell it and buy something easier! LOL
