somebody told me today that an early 80's toyota rearend is 2 inches narrower than a mazda rearend and that it is a direct bolt on conversion. I would like more info on this because i know where an 85 yota is just sitting collecting dust

nope, i had an 84, and i had to 4 link the truck, and splice the end of a yota driveshaft onto the end of my mazda shaft. and the brake lines are alittle different.

well the yoke is different, so you have the yota yoke machined off the driveshaft, then put onto the mazda driveshaft, so it bolts to the rear end.

put the end of the yota drive shaft on to the end of the mazda drive shaft cuz they are different
