Ok, I finnshed the stock floor on my dually, and the hood hinges hit the tires, any ideas?

use gas struts from a ford f150 hood yo.

the work good on mine.

hm... he said hinges, didnt say anything about the springs........ if they are like the 88-98 trucks you can just take the spring off , that what i did on mine....

its not so much the spring, but the whole hinge

I might be wrong, but I think with a little modification you can make the 81-87 hinge work, it bolts to the cab under the wiper cowl. If you do this you will still need a gas strut or prop rod to hold up the hood, because the spring will have to be removed.
Look for a write up on the front end swap from 73-80 to 81-87, I remeber seeing how to do this on some page.

thats kinda what I was thinking about trying. thanks, I'm leaving all the trim on it also, not to sure about the mirrors though...lol
