help baggin a 91 rcsb isuzu..

i know mostly chevys and gms.. not so much on the import trucks. my paint guy is in process on his truck 91 isuzu.. and has a front kit from FBI with slam re6's and rear is done and 4 linked with slam re-7s over the axle.. i jsut started helping him and his front doesnt seem right.. does he need control arms or spindels or sumpin? whats the "right way" to do the front? thanks steve

1.cut everything off the frame except the upper a arm mount. [I usually make a new one of these, but you aint gotta. It is very important to reinforce the upper a arm mount. I have seen too many of these torn off the frame.]2.cut all that unused crap off until the a arm mount is even with the top of the frame[or off completely if new mounts are made] and there is nothing left on the side of the frame. grind smooth3. there will be a 1.75 by 2 inch hole left. plate with 3/16 or 1/4. grind smooth4.move the lower a arm halfway through its travel, to get it centered in the wheelwell.5.cut the shock tabs off the arm6.center your lower bracket on the arm, temporarily bolt the bag on to assure clearance from bag to frame, and weld on. most Isuzus wont lay with the lower bracket in my experience, so I usually bolt the bag to the arm7.with the bag bolted on and the arm centered and at half travel, bolt on the upper bracket[trim to length if needed] and draw straight lines up the frame using a bubble/dial/digital level.8.jack the lower arm all the way up and c-clamp the bag and upper bracket compressed. mark on your frame the bracket location.9. disassemble and center the upper bracket in the first lines marked, at the same height as last marked. 10. weld in level11. trim gussets and weld in. they can face up or down, depending on clearance. most isuzus will have to have stepped arms or spindles to lay, even with the upper bracket at the top of the frame. I just like to leave a little room so I can gusset top and bottom

good info..... also for "laying out an isuzu what actually lays, the front engine crossmember? and in the rear do you modify the last crossmember b4 the axle to let the frame lay?

where does the axle sit in retrospect to the frame, he put in a huge notch but not using up all the room and the frame is way off the ground yet.. man i wish it was a chevy and i'd be all good but i'm not familiar at all with these..
thinking he need to move his upper bag mounts up..

also for the fron with the steps posted above will he need spindles? who makes em? and where can i get them? thanks again

aim is the only one making spindels for isuzus also there is a stickey in the isuzu forum that shows how the front should be set up to lay out with out them spindels the back gets done just like any other truck

yup we've rear and looked at all that. we are just wondering if we need spindles, would it hurt to add them? and w/o them how far off the ground is the engine crossmember ? or laying? his right now is 3-4 inches off. frame only, no engine, cab ect..

ok so we got spindles now.. but after ripping into everything i want to change out balljoints, bushings, ect, worn to crap.. and spendy!!!

has anyone ever flipped the upper control arms?

any update on tube arms from anyone??
