black hurricane names WTF??

I head about this a while ago on snopes.com and thought I would share it. I didn't believe it and now snopes says it's true. Below is a quote from snopes. Click here for the full story:http://www.snopes.com/racial/language/hurricane.asp

Man o man... what next.

sounds kinda not politically correct but true at the same time...i do think it's just another thing for them (african-americans) to bitch about but god for bid we say anything about having a national white, hispanic, asian history months or whatnot...too much taken and not enough given back!

Seems like with all the negative stereotypes on black people(see foot note), that naming natural disasters with stereotypically black names, would be the last thing african americans would be fighting for.


(footnote) While I try to live as colorblind as possible, stereotypes exist for a reason...the fact that someone lives up/down to them. This does not apply only to african americans, but all races equally.
